Vermont’s Waterfowl

Lake Champlain and the surrounding farmlan d offers some of the best duck and goose hunting in the state, but a day of hiking into various mountain ponds and swamps to jump shoot blacks, mallards, teal, and woodies can be equally as exciting. Aside from jump shooting, we offer classic decoying duck hunts from blinds, a three person sneak boat or a sixteen-foot johnboat that we have converted into a floating blind. We also offer canoe float trips, a very effective way to bag ducks in Vermont (don’t forget your fly rod). The October scenery surrounding Green Mountain waterfowlers just can’t be beat.
